
RESONATE COMMUNITY STANDARDS & SAFETY POLICY

Introduction
Resonate is committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all users. These Community Standards apply to all content, conversations, and interactions within the Resonate app and services operated by Resonante.
ZERO TOLERANCE FOR CHILD SAFETY VIOLATIONS
Resonate strictly prohibits any and all content, behavior, or activity related to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
This includes, but is not limited to:
Any sexual content involving minors (anyone under 18 years of age)
Grooming behavior or attempts to sexualize, abuse, or exploit children
Sharing, distributing, requesting, or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
Content that sexualizes or endangers children in any way
Using the platform to facilitate or coordinate child exploitation
Depictions, encouragement, or promotion of pedophilia
Consequences: Violations will result in:
Immediate and permanent account termination
Mandatory reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
Reporting to appropriate law enforcement authorities
Cooperation with all legal investigations
COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
To maintain a safe and supportive environment, users must adhere to the following standards:
Prohibited Content and Behavior
1. Harmful or Dangerous Content
Self-harm or suicide encouragement
Content promoting eating disorders
Instructions for dangerous activities
Graphic violence or gore
2. Harassment and Abuse
Bullying, threatening, or intimidating others
Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
Doxxing or sharing personal information without consent
Stalking or unwanted repeated contact
3. Sexual Content
Unsolicited sexually explicit messages
Sexual harassment or unwanted advances
Adult sexual content (Resonate is designed for support, not dating or sexual interactions)
Any content involving minors in a sexual context
4. Illegal Activities
Promoting or facilitating illegal activities
Sale or distribution of drugs, weapons, or other illegal goods
Fraud, scams, or phishing attempts
5. Spam and Manipulation
Mass messaging or spam
Impersonation of others
Manipulation or deceptive practices
Commercial solicitation or advertising
USER RESPONSIBILITIES
All Resonate users are expected to:
Treat others with respect and empathy
Maintain the anonymity and privacy of others
Report violations of these standards
Use the platform for its intended purpose: mutual support and understanding
Be truthful in conversations while respecting the anonymous nature of the platform
REPORTING VIOLATIONS
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these standards:
In-App Reporting: Use the report button within any conversation
Email: safety@resonanteapp.com
Emergency Situations: Contact local law enforcement immediately
What to include in your report:
Description of the violation
Timestamp (if known)
Any relevant screenshots (do not screenshot CSAM - report immediately instead)
All reports are reviewed promptly by our safety team. We take every report seriously and investigate thoroughly.
MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT
Resonate employs:
Automated content filtering and detection systems
Human moderation review
User reporting mechanisms
Proactive monitoring for safety violations
Enforcement Actions:
Depending on the severity and nature of violations, we may:
Issue warnings
Temporarily suspend accounts
Permanently ban accounts
Report to law enforcement
Preserve evidence for legal proceedings
PROTECTING MINORS
While Resonate is intended for users 18 and older:
Users must not misrepresent their age
Any user discovered to be under 18 will have their account terminated
We actively work to prevent minors from accessing the platform
We comply with all applicable child protection laws including COPPA, GDPR, and other international regulations
COOPERATION WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT
Resonate cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies and organizations dedicated to child safety, including:
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Local and international law enforcement agencies
We respond promptly to valid legal requests and preserve evidence as required by law.
UPDATES TO THESE STANDARDS
Resonate reserves the right to update these Community Standards at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of Resonate after changes constitutes acceptance of updated standards.
